The media coverage surrounding Tesla has highlighted a stark contrast in the company's performance across different markets, particularly between Europe and Norway. While Tesla has seen significant declines in sales in several European countries, including a staggering 71% drop in Sweden, it continues to dominate the Norwegian market, capturing over 19% of new registrations, primarily driven by the popularity of the Model Y. This divergence in sales performance showcases the varying dynamics of the electric vehicle market in different regions, with Tesla maintaining a stronghold in Norway amidst a general downturn in Europe. Key discussions in the coverage include Tesla's recent loss of its title as the world's largest electric vehicle manufacturer to Chinese competitor BYD, which sold 2.26 million vehicles compared to Tesla's 1.64 million. Concerns have been raised regarding Tesla's future growth, particularly as it shifts focus towards AI and autonomous technology, while facing increasing competition from other automakers. The sentiment surrounding Tesla's current state is mixed; while some articles highlight its innovative efforts, such as the upcoming Cybercab robotaxi, others reflect a more negative outlook, pointing to declining sales figures and the risks associated with its ambitious future goals. Overall, the tone is predominantly cautious, emphasizing a need for Tesla to adapt to a rapidly changing automotive landscape.

What Kevin Hettrich’s Recent Tesla Comment Really Means for QuantumScape External Link

r/QS_Progress_Timeline1 upvotes

QuantumScape CFO Kevin Hettrich recently made a pointed remark that Tesla is “in the sea” of desirable potential partners for the company—but that he “won’t comment on specific discussions. ” For a company developing what could be the most transformative battery technology of the decade, a statement like this is never casual. This narrative breaks down what this actually means, what it doesn’t mean, the strategic implications, and why it matters for the EV market, Tesla, and the long-term QuantumScape thesis. 1. Why Tesla Is Even in the Conversation There are a few reasons Tesla always comes up when discussing QuantumScape (QS): • Tesla is the largest EV producer in the world. • Tesla is obsessed with energy density, cost reduction, and manufacturing efficiency. • QuantumScape is working on solid-state lithium-metal batteries with the potential to leap past current lithium-ion chemistry. • Tesla has historically been open to external battery partnerships (Panasonic, LG, CATL, S…

Rude, Arrogant and Absolutely un-helpful support staff

option would have be to give lower rating, I would have. Rude support staff, arrogant responses, highly unhelpful. They suggest, quick option to contact is live chat.. but live chat is 48 hours response and they respond in 11 - 12 days and that too rudely. Cancelled my order. And thank god, I didn't buy the car.

Sometimes frustrating

I’ve been a bit surprised to see the low ratings here and although I can empathise with a lot of the comments, overall I can only call it as we found it. So, after numerous EV test drives across a number of manufacturers, Tesla’s cars stood out and felt like an EV that had been designed from the bottom up rather than a conventional car manufacturer playing catch up. I might add that we don’t feel particularly adjacent to the brand as such but it just did what we were looking for better than any other brand in our price range. Admittedly once we’d made our choice of a Tesla Y then the experience did dip somewhat but once we’d adjusted our mindset to Tesla’s sales/delivery approach via an app then we didn’t feel so offended. Yes, it’s lacks a bit of ‘customer service’ and contact can be frustrating but finally after 2 months to’ing and fro’ing we recently took delivery of our Tesla Y at Longbridge UK. The handover and p/ex was slick and unfussy and we are happy with our choice so far. Ask me again after a year or so of ownership but so far so good.
